Payment means agreement: when you pay for our service, it means you have already agreed to our Terms & Conditions.
If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you, including the use of photos in section 15.
4. Our services
4.1 Custom suits
- Our focus: custom-made suits for men and women, tailored to your measurements, style and fabric choices.
- Made to order: we do not keep ready-made clothes in stock.
- What we do not sell: standalone trousers, coats or dresses are not part of our regular range.
- Other requests: if you need something outside our suits, ask us. We may agree to make it on request, at our discretion, and we will quote it separately before starting.
4.2 Your own fabric, sketches and designs
- What you can bring: your own fabric, and a sketch, drawing or inspiration photo. In a custom design and sketch consultation we go through your design with you and take your measurements.
- Price: the price depends on your fabric and on everything your design needs, such as lining and other materials. The tailoring itself follows our standard prices, unless you choose an express order (section 8). We tell you the price before you pay the deposit.
- Fabric you supply: we check your fabric before we agree the job. We are not responsible for faults that are already in fabric you supply.

7. Orders, deposit & payment
- We agree your design, fabric and measurements, and you accept our quote.
- You pay a deposit of at least 70% of the order value.
- Once we confirm your deposit, we send “Your order is officially started.” Your production timeline starts from that message.
- You pay the remaining 30% before or at the time of final pickup or delivery.
We do not start production before the deposit is confirmed.
8. Production timelines & express orders
- Standard production: 1 to 2 weeks from the official start.
- Express production: 1 to 3 days from the official start, with an additional 35% fee on the total order value. Express orders depend on workshop availability, and we will tell you whether we can accept yours.
- Alterations and repairs: we agree the time with you at the inspection. It depends on the job and on when you need your clothes back. A shorter deadline can change the price.
- Our commitment: we work to the ready date we confirm to you. Delays caused by missing information or late payment from the customer, or by events in section 17, may move that date. We will tell you promptly if that happens.
9. Customer responsibilities & fittings
- Accurate information: give us correct details about your measurements, design, fabric and contact information.
- Self-measurement: if you send your own measurements remotely, Mr. Sewing is not responsible for fitting errors caused by inaccurate self-measurement.
- In-person fittings: we recommend professional measurements at our workshop, by appointment. Please attend booked fittings on time.
- Payments and replies: pay on time and answer our messages so we can keep your order moving.
- Inspiration photos and sketches: if you share a design, sketch or photo, you confirm you may use it for this purpose.
10. Design, fabric & changes
- You approve the design, fabric and measurements before production starts.
- After the official start, changes may not be possible. If we agree to a change, extra cost and time may apply.
- Fabric colour and texture can look slightly different on screens and in different light. Handcrafted garments may show small natural variations. This is normal and is not a defect.
11. Completion, collection & delivery
- We notify you when your garment is ready. Your 7-day free storage period starts from that notification.
- Collect your garment from our workshop, or have it delivered where delivery has been agreed. Delivery details are confirmed with you in advance.
- If we use a courier or delivery partner, we share only the information needed to complete the delivery.
- Please check your garment when you receive it and tell us promptly if something is wrong (see section 13).
12. Uncollected garments & storage fees
To manage space in our workshop and keep operations running on time, these rules apply to finished garments waiting for pickup:
- Free period: 7 calendar days (1 week) from the date you receive our notification that your order is ready.
- Daily fee: from the 8th calendar day, a storage fee of 10% of the total cost of the product applies for each day the garment stays uncollected. Fees accumulate and must be paid, together with any balance, before the garment is released.
- Abandoned garments: when accumulated fees reach 50% of the product cost (day 12), the garment is considered abandoned. It is no longer available to the customer, and ownership rights and deposits paid are forfeited.
- Resale: Mr. Sewing may resell, re-tailor or liquidate abandoned garments to recover storage fees and unpaid production costs.
| Days after ready notice | Storage fee so far |
|---|---|
| Days 1 to 7 | Free |
| Day 8 | 10% |
| Day 9 | 20% |
| Day 10 | 30% |
| Day 11 | 40% |
| Day 12 | 50% – garment considered abandoned |
If you know you will be late, contact us before day 8 so we can talk about it.
13. Fit concerns, refunds & related policies
- No returns or refunds once production starts: because every garment is custom-made, we do not offer returns, cancellations or refunds after the official start.
- Fit problems and defects: tell us within 72 hours of receiving your garment. Free adjustments apply during this period if the garment has not been worn, altered by others or damaged.
- Garments made by others: the free 72-hour adjustment applies to garments made by Mr. Sewing. Alterations and repairs of clothes you already own are charged at the price we give you after inspection.
- Full details: see our Refund Policy.
- Your personal information: see our Privacy Policy.
14. Contacting you
We may contact you using the phone number, WhatsApp number and email address you give us, whether through our website forms, WhatsApp, in person or any other way. We use them for matters about your booking or order, such as appointments, fittings, payments, production updates, delivery and collection.
15. Photos, social media & advertising
- Use of photos: we may take photos or videos of your garments, and of you wearing them, and use them on our social media pages, website and other platforms, including for advertising and promotion.
- Your right to remove your photo: you may ask us at any time to remove your picture from all our platforms, whether you are unhappy or simply no longer want it shown.
- How to ask: contact us on WhatsApp or phone (+250 787 411 501) or by email. We will remove the picture within one (1) week of your request.
- Reposts by others: we cannot control copies that other people saved or shared on their own accounts, but we will remove the picture from our own pages and platforms.
16. Intellectual property
The Mr. Sewing name, logo, designs, photos and website content belong to the Company. Please do not copy or use them for commercial purposes without our written permission.
17. Liability & unforeseen events
- Events beyond our control: we are not responsible for delays caused by things we cannot reasonably control, such as fabric or supplier delays, power or utility interruptions, severe weather, or public holidays and community days such as Umuganda. We will tell you promptly and agree a new date.
- Limits: to the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not responsible for fitting errors caused by self-measurement, or for losses caused by late collection.
- Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the laws of Rwanda.
18. Complaints & disputes
If you are unhappy with any part of our service, please contact us first with your name and order details. We will review your concern and try to solve it fairly and directly. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda, and the courts of Rwanda handle any dispute we cannot settle between us.
19. General provisions
- Changes to these terms: we may update them from time to time. The version on this page, with the date at the top, applies. Orders already started follow the terms in force when they were confirmed.
- Declining service: we may decline an order or stop our service if a customer gives false information or behaves abusively.
- If part is invalid: if any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays valid.
- Whole agreement: these terms, our Refund Policy, our Privacy Policy and your accepted quote make up the full agreement between you and us.
